Tamper

A tamper is a safeguard against the casings of the detectors or alarm system

being opened. If this were not present, part of the alarm system could be

disabled.

Technical

Indicates that technical support is required e.g. a failure of the cooling or heating

system. The indication is only shown at an exit or sent to the central station.

Timeslot

A timeslot is intended to automate operations which occur daily or weekly.

Ultrasound detector

A detector which generates an alarm when movement of a person is observed in

its field of view. The scientific principle used is based on ultrasound. The detector

emits this sound itself and by receiving the signal, the detector can establish

whether anyone is moving in the detection field.

Unlock

Key switch or code with the unlock function with which a door can be opened.

Upload/download

A method by which the installer can monitor and modify your system in the event

of problems or faults.

Upload/download

code

The code you must enter to start upload/download. Your installer will ask you to

enter this so that an upload/download connection can be established.

User

A user is someone who can operate the alarm system using a code or key switch.

Vibration detector

A vibration detector is a detector the scientific principles of which are based on

vibrations.

Warning time

The time in which the system indicates that it must be armed or will arm

automatically.

Zone

A zone is a group of detection devices which secure an area. In many cases, the

zone consists of only one detector.
